Disciplined Thinking

Innovative Intelligence is the ability to inspire, imagine and invent. It combines a number of different concepts and principles flowing from the theory and practices of what Roger Martin of the University of Toronto has called “Integrative Thinking,” as well as the principles of “Design Thinking,” as practiced and promoted by IDEO, the world’s most formidable design and innovation consultancy firm. We now understand that innovation is a disciplined way of thinking about and solving problems. As a result, it is something we can instill in our organizations, if we choose to implement the support processes necessary and then foster the requisite mindset.
